With its theme of “Art Changes the World,” MAFA hosted some 40 fine artists and 30 chalk artists for its first-ever show at Station Square Park in Monrovia on Oct. 5. The artists included top-tier professionals as well as students from Monrovia High School and California School of the Arts in Duarte appearing in their first-ever art shows.
The event also featured teen art and kids art activities and continuous live musical entertainment from local student and professional groups, as well as food trucks serving up great fare for the many show visitors.
The day culminated in the announcement of the ChalkFest prize winners:
