Art Statement
Eric, a returning artist for the Monrovia Association of Fine Arts, has displayed his work of pencil renderings at local art shows throughout the community. Inspired by God, he’s passionate about his work which brings him joy that others can be amazed and inspired by what he does.
With these images he sets before you, he wants you to see how simple the process of formulating, shading and texturing with just the use of a pencil, can capture and bring an image to life.
Just recently, he decided to add color using colored pencils, pen and ink, creating a dimensional effect to his work.
As quoted by Horace “a picture is a poem without words.” Nothing more needs to be said.
