MAFA Artist Galleries in MONROVIA

Another exciting benefit of MAFA artist membership is the opportunity to display and sell artwork in four gallery venues around town. Contact MAFA Vice President and Gallery Manager Eric Watkins to find out how you can participate. eric@monroviafinearts.org (626) 394-7427

Artist Alley at the Monrovia Community Center

119 W. Palm Ave

This permanent gallery represents an innovative partnership between MAFA and the City of Monrovia. MAFA artists install their work in the main hallway and lobby of the Center and it remains on display for three months during the Center’s opening hours of 8 am to 5 pm daily. MAFA receives a 20% donation from each sale that helps support our student art education programs.

We celebrate the start of each 3-month installations with a well-advertised Sunday afternoon artist reception open and free to the public. These festive gatherings feature refreshments, live music, and student art competitions with entries from Monrovia’s two middle schools.

D’vine Mediterranean Express

144 W. Foothill Blvd (in Vons Shopping Center)

The most recent of our suite of MAFA galleries is this new restaurant in the Vons shopping center at Foothill Blvd. and Myrtle Ave. It hosts monthly rotating art displays for MAFA members, with a 20 percent commission on sales to the owner.

Grey & Cash

425 S. Myrtle Ave

Our gallery here has been in operation for nearly three years, with the restaurant hosting the monthly rotating display and sales of MAFA artists’ work, for which they get to keep 100% of the profit. Though the Artist gets 100%, donations to MAFA are encouraged!

Monrovia Historical Museum

742 E. Lemon Ave

During its 61-year history, MAFA has enjoyed a great working relationship with the Museum, and now it’s even better: The Museum has invited MAFA artists to display and sell their work on a rotating basis every three months, with a sales donation of 20 percent each to the museum and to MAFA.
