How the Application Process Works

1. Submit Your Application
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis or during designated application periods. Be sure to submit all requested materials so your application can be fully considered. Find your application here and email it to mafa@monroviafinearts.org when completed. 

2. Application Review
Our team reviews applications to ensure eligibility, completeness, installation readiness, and available exhibit space.

3. Space Planning & Artist Selection
Because exhibit space is limited, placement may vary. Artists may be accepted for the full number of submitted works, selected for a smaller or larger display, or placed on a waitlist for a future opportunity. Here is a link to the locations.

4. Notification
Artists will receive written notification regarding their application status within 1 week of review.

5. Exhibit Scheduling
Accepted artists will be sent the artist agreement(s) via email and, once signed, will receive exhibit dates, artwork delivery and installation details, required paperwork to fill out, and reception information (when applicable). Once received, participation is confirmed.

6. Installation & Display
Artists are responsible for delivering and installing artwork during their assigned timeframe to ensure a smooth exhibit experience.

7. Exhibit Completion & Artwork Pickup
At the end of the exhibit, artists will retrieve their work on the scheduled date.
